Harvest. Thanksgiving!

Harvest. Thanksgiving!

Today we have a special service!

The Lord allowed us to appoint certain days in our lives as feasts, holidays when we can draw our attention off secular events and processes to do something even more important!

Rom. 14: “6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.”

In this world, we have multiple holidays when we can hear of someone’s achievements, sports medals, scholar’s success, technological, medical where people HONOR each and everybody who deserves their respect!

We sometimes do not even go to work and get some rest. All because we CELEBRATE someone we respect although that someone has used another’s Great PERSON creation to achieve something!

Why don’t we celebrate the Creator’s success as much as we always celebrate the people’s?

We read in the Bible that:

John. 1:3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”

The Lord as well as His disciples being taught and convinced by His power tell all the people that everything we have in this world such as nature and the fruits it bears COME ONLY from Him. He has been still creating it and making sure it keeps reproducing.

This statement absolutely contradicts the way people treat their jobs, salaries, successes and as soon as we tend to start thinking WE ACHIEVED SOMETHING, WE DESERVE HONORING – we deserve, we deserve, God tells US – are you sure it was you indeed who made it possible in your life, are you that short-sighted?

Did not you use the resources already present and given in nature to utilize it in order to get something?

In every book of the Bible, we read how God always reminds people of Who is Who in this world and how fast people forget that the Lord is alive and is using His power to provide all nations with different KINDS of DAILY bread to allow people spend time with Him.

Modern society, that lives without God as their major priority, pollute their life with different things they do not actually need, and work even more to get what the society offers. It takes our time, health and LIFE. It makes our schedule so stuffed with things to do that there is no space left to squeeze in PRAISING of the LORD and thanking Him.

That is why with each new generation in our life who learn from us we hear how people react on God, when we remind them that what you eat, drink, utilize was provided by the Lord of Lords who loves you and wants more time with you!

There was one occasion when Pharaoh reacted as 99% of people react when they hear the Lord gives fruits, not them first hand!

Ex. 5: 2 “And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.”

When Moses and Aaron for the first time told Pharaoh about God’s expectations and demands, his reaction was similar to what modern people would say or think –

Who are you talking about? Who is He? I do not know Him! And we see that because of such attitude he did not want do let the Israelites go.

He had never thought that there could have been a god expecting the right attitude. He was wrong as he lived in his temporary kingdom where everyone deceived him by pretending he was a god to listen and to honor!

This is a modern deception when people live within their limits, in their deceptive kingdom pretending there is no god, no Creator expecting my and yours thanksgiving.

In the book of the Beginning (Genesis) of our world the Lord decides to allow people COUNT on the future time of fruits to harvest and live, saying:

Gen. 8:22 “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

So it is the Lord’s decision to make the fruits of the Earth possible and He makes it possible that we planting, investing can rely on the future POSITIVE outcome, result.

So now we have been reminded that the Lord provides the fruits of the Earth for us to harvest. There is a certain goal for all fruits and vegetables – they all grow to be harvested. There is no plant that is in vain, all have its designation.

In addition in the Old Testament, God revealed to us hat He is pleased when we remember Him as the One who provides.

Ex. 23: 13 “And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth. …….16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.”

It is with purpose when God sys that there should not be other names of some invented gods mentioned by moths of those who harvest as there is the ONLY Creator.

Unfortunately modern people as a majority utilize Gods creation, eat and drink with no respect to God, with blasphemes, other gods in their mouths with NO thanksgiving and appreciation.

Just imagine when you provided for your children’s needs when they were younger, paid for their education, made sandwiches for them when they went to school, worked hard for them to have what they really needed in life and later they came up to you saying it was not you who provided it was someone else and that they do not think you should expect gratitude from them!

Would you feel O.K?

I would not! It is not that parents do something in order to get medals in the future, but it is about acknowledgement and fair thankfulness!

When the Lord does not see gratitude in his people’s hearts He feels bad about that and withdraws His support so that people might realize that without Him they will not live! Their gods will never grow crops for them!

Prophet Jeremiah told the people about painful events created by ignorance, idolatry and ingratitude of people.

Jer. 8: “15 We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!”

— When people are not grateful they will eventually end up losing, losses will be great in their lives and as a nation.
— They wanted to live a peaceful life, but lost it as the healthy relations with God bring peace in life only.

— “19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?”

The Lords teaches and warns people that disrespectful life before the Lord will eventually lead to SALVATION issues.

“20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.”

When people are not actively grateful to God, it means they made that decision at some point of their lives. And when we make our choice to dispense with God in our life it brings LOGICAL dead-end in our relationship with God.

The Lord says that we are plants He planted in this world to bring fruit, to be useful for Him. And for each plant there is harvest time already set. This harvest time is approaching to us when the Lord also will send His angels, harvesters to collect the crop as it is at the moment f harvesting.

Matthew 13: 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Are we ready?

Are we grateful?

Do we bring fruit to the Lord?

Global harvest is approaching! Be prepared!
